Claire Fontaine, reminiscent of the brand of school exercise books, is a collective founded in 2014 and based in Paris. Claire Fontaine is a self-proclaimed « readymade artist », developing a sort of neo-conceptual art which sometimes recalls other artists’ work. She works in neon, video, sculpture, painting and text. Her work questions political impotence, and the crisis of originality in contemporary society.
Claire Fontaine offers a feminist view on the art of forging freedom.

Catherine Le Van Van has worked in watercolour, printmaking and enamel, with a brief foray into paper maché sculpture, with plants as a recurring theme. She will introduce us to etching and enamel on copper techniques, which by their unpredictable nature offer infinite possibilities for experimentation.
