Visit with Camille Morineau, Arts director of the Monnaie de Paris, and co-curator of the exhibition with Lucia Pesapane.

Women House brings together 40 female artists of the 20th and 21st centuries who take up the complex challenge of representing the domestic space, long associated with women, as a prison or a place of refuge. The exhibition includes the feminist angle, as well as poetic, political or nostalgic takes on the subject. From well-established names (Louise Bourgeois, Cindy Sherman...) to younger talents who are well-known to Les Amis du NMWA (Laure Texier, Joana Vasconcelos, Elsa Sahal…). Moreover we’re proud to announce that this exhibition will be traveling, after Paris, to the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington DC in March 2018.
While we’re there, we’ll also have the chance to discover the new 11 Conti Museum, which reopened to the public on September 30th. The new displays showcase the history of the Monnaie, its craftsmanship, heritage and know-how through a unique interactive and sensory experience.
