Le Musée d’Art moderne de la Ville de Paris présente la première exposition monographique de l’artiste allemande Paula Modersohn-Becker (1876-1907) en France. Bien que méconnue du public français, elle est aujourd’hui une figure majeure de l’art moderne. Fascinée par Paris et les avant-gardes du début du XXe siècle, elle y fait de nombreux séjours et découvre les artistes qu’elle admire (Rodin, Cézanne, Gauguin, Le Douanier Rousseau, Picasse, Matisse).
